About CND
        
Welcome to the College of Notre Dame of Maryland (CND) in Baltimore, Maryland. The School Sisters of Notre Dame founded the College in 1873 with the primary mission of education women to transform the world. The weekend and graduate programs, however, are open to both men and women.
        
At CND, students engage in a liberal arts education that fosters personal, professional, and spiritual growth. With a choice of 27 majors in the woman’s college, 11 majors in the weekend college, and 12 areas of study in the graduate program, students are able to pursue the education that will better prepare them for a future or current career. After graduation, students can be sure that they have received the best education possible from the first Catholic college for women in the U.S. to offer baccalaureate degrees.

The Computer Studies Department at the College of Notre Dame allows students to major or minor in Computer Information Systems and Computer Science with an optional concentration in Internet Systems. Students may also major in Business with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems.
        
The Computer Studies Department provides students with the knowledge to pursue careers in a variety of fields such as applications development, system and/or software support, website page development and maintenance, computer programming, information systems management, computer user training, technical marketing and sales, system analysis and design, data base support, and project management. After the completion of general education, major and elective requirements, students will be well prepared for the ever-expanding influence of computers on all major markets.
